The liver is the largest solid organ in the body. It is located in the upper right hand portion of the abdominal cavity, beneath the diaphragm, and on the top of the stomach. It regulates most of the chemical levels in the blood that produces bile, an alkaline fluid containing cholesterol and bile acids, which helps the breakdown of the fats and to carry away waste. If too much dirt enters the liver, it can be damaged. Clean the accumulated dirt in the liver by eating and drinking that is good for the liver.
Turmeric – Due to its curcumin active compound, which is good for health, drinking turmeric helps protect the liver against injury. Many confirm that consuming turmeric helps cleanse the liver, especially if preventive steps are taken to protect the liver.
Oatmeal – Oatmeal helps to reduce the amount of fat that is attached to the liver. It is also rich in beta glucan compounds. It is better to eat whole or steel cut oats than instant oats.
Extra virgin olive oil – Extra virgin olive oil is rich and high in monounsaturated fatty acids such as oleic acid and phenolic compounds, it is the most beneficial for cleansing the liver. Extra virgin olive oil is effective when it is fresh and not heated. Extra virgin olive oil can be mixed with orange juice, if you find it difficult to drink , mix well and refrigerate before drinking.
Coffee – Regular drinking of coffee has many benefits for the body, especially the liver. The person who drink coffee can avoid liver cancer, fatty liver disease, fibrosis, and cirrhosis of the liver. The more coffee you drink, the greater the chance of preventing liver disease.
Garlic – According to studies, eating garlic has shown a change in hepatic function of various types of liver disease. It reduces oxidative stress, inflammation, and dysfunctional metabolism.
Fruit and fruit juices – Due to the antioxidants contained in grapes, berries, grapefruit, pears, bananas, papaya, watermelon and lemon, they are effective in protecting the liver from inflammation, reducing oxidative stress, protecting liver cells and fighting liver steatosis. Always use fresh fruits and no additives if made into juice.
Beets – It is traditionally used as a remedy to stimulate liver enzymes and increase bile, which helps to detoxify the liver . Beets are also high in betalains and other compounds, which have the ability to reduce liver injury.
Avocado – It is rich in healthy facts and micronutrients, it helps the body produce glutathione to eliminate environmental pollutants, heavy metals, and toxins due to stress.
Mushroom – Ganoderma lucidum is a type of mushroom rich in fiber, protein, selenium, and antioxidants. Many mushroom extracts have protection against liver damage cause by toxic chemicals. It has also been found that mushroom extract is effective in normalizing some signs of liver disease such as, the release of enzymes into the plasma.
Fatty fish – Eating fatty fish and taking fish oil supplements can help to avoid excess fat and maintain enzyme levels in the liver, because of its omega 3 fatty acids that are good for the body.
Nuts – Due to the presence of unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E, and vital compounds, nuts help to prevent inflammation of the liver. It is also one of those that provide protection against non – alcoholic fatty liver disease.
