Here are natural ways to get rid of dark circles in the eyes:

Potato – potato has anti- inflammatory properties, natural whitening components, vitamin A and C that can remove dark circles. It gently moisturize the eye area and reduce inflammation. Cut four to six inch thick slices of potato, enough size to cover the area. Lie down and put the sliced potato on both eyes, leave it for ten minutes. Repeat this process with the remaining potato slices until the swelling of the eyes is reduced and then wash it . Squeeze potato juice can also be used, put under the eyes for ten minutes Do this remedy every day for two weeks to see the effective results.

Cold compress – cold compress can help reduce inflammation, remove dark circles, and puffiness of the eyes. Put some ice cubes on a clean cloth and place it on the affected area. You can also wet the cloth with cold water and place it under the eyes for twenty minutes. Repeat this process if the coldness of the cloth is gone or if the ice has melted. Another alternative is the chilled spoons. Wet two spoons, put them in the freezer for at least fifteen minutes. Take the spoons and put them on the eyebags, remove them when the cold is gone. Refrigerated eye cream can also be used for the same cooling effect.

Almond oil -almond oil is rich in protein, iron and fiber, which is beneficial to eliminate puffiness of the eyes. It can also removes dead skin cells, reduce wrinkles, and has a healthy and good overall effect on the skin. Before going to bed, put two to three drops of almond oil under the eyes and massage gently. Do this every day for one week and you will see the result.

Tea compress – tea contains caffeine and antioxidants that help reduce inflammation and a great remedy for dark circles. Soak two tea bags in hot water for five minutes. Cool the tea bags for fifteen to twenty minutes in the refrigerator. And when its cold , place the tea bags on the eyes for ten to fifteen minutes , then rinse with cold water. Do this every day for one week.

Tomato juice – tomatoes have lycopene content that strengthens capillary walls. It also has vitamin A, that regenerates damaged skin, vitamin B, for renewing the skin , and vitamin c , that stimulates cellular metabolism. Apply the tomato juice on the affected area , and leave for ten minutes. Then wash the face with cold water. Do this every day for two weeks.

Lemon juice – lemon juice contains a large amount of vitamin c and also has anti- inflammatory properties that can remove all toxins from tired and puffy eyes. Mix lemon juice with fresh tomato juice ,soak a cotton ball in the mixture, and place it on the affected area for ten minutes. Then wash it with cold water .

Cucumber compress – cucumber is a natural and effective remedy to eliminate the inflammation of the eyes. It ha an anti – inflammatory properties and has a cooling effect that works perfectly on the delicate skin around the eyes. Cut the cucumber into half an inch and put it in refrigerator for thirty minutes. Take the cooled cucumber and put it on the eyes for ten to fifteen minutes, then wash the face with cold water. Do this every day for a week for better results.

Baking soda -baking soda has a natural exfoliant that gives glow to the skin under the eyes. Mix baking soda with water and soak some cotton pads. Remove the excess water and put the pads on the eyes and leave it for ten to fifteen minutes, then remove the pads and rinse the face with cold water.

Milk and bread mask – milk moisturizes and tones up the skin. It has vitamin A and B6 which are very important for maintaining a good appearance, because they generate new cells, while the bread contains yeast that rich in vitamin D which soothes the skin. Mix white bread and milk to make a paste, apply the mask on the effected area. Make sure the layers are not too thick, leave it for ten to fifteen minutes, then remove . do it regularly.

Aloe vera gel – it has vitamin E and antioxidants that can reduce inflammation under the eyes. Applying aloe vera gel under the eye s can lead to increased circulation that helps flush out fluids that are trapped under the eyes. Reduce inflammation and help look awake and refreshed.

Rose water – it is rich in vitamins A,C and flavonoids, a natural astringent with anti- inflammatory and anti- bacterial properties. It will help in moisturizing the skin and has a whitening and rejuvenating effect. Wet two cotton pads with rose water and place under the eyes, and leave for fifteen minutes.
