Visions usually to blur when forty years old and above. But now adays even children are losing their eyesight due to lifestyle and gadgets. When the lens inside the eye begins to lose the ability to see up close, this is called presbyopia. If it last and is neglected, cataract, glaucoma, or macular degeneration may develop which may lead to blindness. There are natural ways to stimulate the eyes and have clear vision.
Eat almonds – Almonds are rich in vitamin E, it can be a snack or mixed with cereal or yogurt. It is good for the eyes to protect the unstable molecules that damage the healthy tissue. Vitamin E helps prevent the development of cataracts and blurred vision. Consume only up to a half a cup every day because, it is high in calories.
Drink green tea – Green tea is rich in catechin, lutein, and zeaxanthin. It helps protect the delicate tissues of the eye against glaucoma and other eye diseases according to researchers.
Eat bilberry – Eating bilberry helps reduce eye fatigue and dry eyes. It has the ability to improve vision especially at night. It is supported by science.
Drink or use aloe vera – It is safe to use aloe vera gel on the outside of the eyelids, to relieve the redness and swelling. Just avoid putting aloe vera on the inside of the eyes. Aloe vera juice is full of beta carotene, which the body converts into vitamin A. The vitamin that is good for overall eye health. Cut aloe vera, put the gel in the water, mix well and drink.
Drink water – The ocular surface of the eyes needs lubrication, in order to adjust the movement and feel comfortable. If the eyes are dry, it affects vision. The liquid layer is the most critical component of the tear film. If dehydrated, the tear film also dries up which can result in irritation and blurry vision. When its hot, it feels like there’s a sand in the eyes and sensitive to light, your eyes are dehydrated.
Stop smoking – There is a high chance of having cataracts, damage to the optic nerve, and rapid blurring vision . Macula is the small part of the retina that is needed for clear and focused vision. This is what smoking destroys, which causes blurred vision or a blurry spot in the middle of the vision. A straight line looks wavy, hard to recognize peoples faces, street signs and other things, especially if its a little far away.
Wear sunglasses – The right shades help to protect the eyes against the harmful ultraviolet or UV rays of the sun. Exposure to UV rays increases the chance of blurred vision. Use sunglasses with one hundred percent UVA and UVB rays protection.
Limit looking at the computer or phone screen – Staring at a computer or phone screen causes blurred vision, difficulty focusing, eyestrain, headaches, dry eyes, painful neck, shoulders and back. To avoid this, wear computer glasses or use an anti glare screen if necessary. Follow the 20 – 20 rules, rest the eye for twenty minutes, look at an object twenty feet away, get up from computer chair every two hours and take a fifteen minutes break.
Visit the ophthalmologist for regular check up . It is important to see if there is an eye problem, while it is early and easier to treat.
